"The Metropolitan Costume Institute Gala is
known for its impressive celebrity guest list and Monday night's bash, which
celebrated Miuccia Prada and Elsa Schiaparelli, was the most star-studded one
yet. And while the red carpet was a sea of stunning designer gowns, a few
A-listers stood out in truly memorable looks..."(Lavinthal, May 7, 2012) Here are some of my favorite looks from the gala; coincidentally, they all are dressed in gold and silver tones. To see all of the looks - the good, the bad, and the ugly - from the 2012 Met Gala click here.
Karolina Kurkova in
Rachel Zoe.
Jessica Stam in Dior.
Lana Del Rey in Joseph Altuzarra.
Camilla Belle in Ralph Lauren.
Bianca Brandolini D'Adda in Dolce & Gabbana.
Jessica Alba in Michael Kors.
Jessica Paré in L'Wren
Scott.
I deleted a couple comments from my reader theBARBIEfication by accident, but I wanted to share with you her opinion so this is what she wrote about this post:
ReplyDelete"Out of all the dresses you chose to showcase, I found Karolina Kurkova to look the most stunning, the looked otherworldly, like the Queen of some far and beautiful planet. Jessica Stam and Jessica Alba also stood out to me. Bianca Brandolini was doing too much for me, somehow she kind of reminded me of a glamorous version of Star Wars. I liked her cap but I would have preferred something else underneath, maybe I'd like it more if I could see the dress without the cape."
She also congratulated me on my 100 followers.
Thank you!
Lots of metallic dresses I see :) Love the MET Gala, it's always so fun to see what everyone's wearing.
